FFEC offers several badge options for girls including STEM badges for Programming Robots (Daisy-Cadette), Designing Robots (Brownie) and Life Skills badge for cooking (Brownie-Senior). In these badges girls complete the requirements using activities designed by the FFEC education staff and equipment available at FFEC.

Additionally, we offer a patch program that includes a guided tour of FFEC and an activity that includes either cooking skills or STEM skills. Currently we offer Cooking with Commodities in which girls can choose from making cranberry muffins, chocolate pea cookies, or potato gnocchi for the cooking patch. And we offer Precision Agriculture, an activity that focuses on technology used in agriculture for the STEM patch.

GiGi’s Playhouse

Generation G Movement | Join us for an inspiring and hands-on workshop where students will dive into the heart of the Generation G movement—a commitment to be generous, kind, and accepting. Attendees will explore how they can bring these values into their schools and neighborhoods, becoming ambassadors of inclusion and positivity. As part of the workshop, students will engage in a creative art experience, choosing between a 2D or 3D project to express what Generation G means to them personally. These powerful pieces will go beyond the classroom, with plans to display them in the community, sparking conversations and spreading the message of acceptance far and wide.

Understanding Learning Through the Eyes of Down Syndrome | This engaging workshop invites attendees to explore how individuals with Down syndrome learn, and how we can better connect with them in schools and communities. Through purposeful, hands-on experiences inspired by GiGi’s Playhouse programs—such as LMNOP, Destination Discovery, GiGi Kitchen, and GiGiFIT—participants will gain insight into effective strategies for inclusive interaction and support. Whether you’re a student, educator, or community member, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to build empathy, understanding, and meaningful relationships that foster acceptance and belonging.
