Troop Bank Accounts & Finances

Managing troop finances is an important part of the volunteer role.

Entrepreneurship is one of the foundations of Girl Scouts. Click through the following pages for guidance on safeguarding your Girl Scouts’ funds throughout the year and the life cycle of the troop:

  • Opening or updating the troop bank account and ACH authorization information
  • Managing the troop finances each month
  • Preparing and submitting the annual troop finance report (required)
  • Closing a troop bank account because of disbanding, merging, or graduating the troop of Girl Scouts
  • Using council guidelines to correctly solicit and accept donations, and participate in the two product program sales
